But I am back now and July trading has got off to a good start. I will post final results at the end of the month but so far, results are 2 trades, 200 pips profit made, both using the Ultimate Golden Cross Indicator.

Forex Mentor Course Results

I have been using it on the 4 hour and daily time frames with great success over the last few weeks. You have much fewer trades but when they appear they seem to be extremely reliable. In the example below I actually closed the GBPUSD position because I had too many trades open for my money management rules. If I had kept it open I would have had another 100 pips

As you can see I won just over 71% of the trades entered, which I consider an acceptable ratio! I am hoping to do better than that in June but you never know how it is going to pan out. All of these winning trades were very mechanical and were not stressful, nor did they require me to sit all day at the terminal baby sitting them into profitability.

Once I have built my account up to $10,000 and am trading at $10 per pip, a month like this would equate to $10,000 profit which is pretty good for a beginner like myself. The key will be consistency so check back next month to see how I am getting on.

The small amount of money I paid for the Ultimate Golden Cross indicator would seem to be money well spent as it has many times over paid for itself last month.

I got the indicator and tested it briefly on the demo account and then decided to put it up against my live account. The following is my FXOpen statement from the 16th April when I ran the indicator. As you can see $152.97 in profit ALL from the ultimate golden cross indicator trades. The two stop losses I had resulted in the two small gains. These were trades that were in profit but then came back again. I had VERY tight stop losses on these trades as I only had been using the indicator for a few hours.

So that money made more than paid for the indicator twice over (I got it at the initial price of $77 – I think this price is going up soon). You still need to know and have some practice in the basic tenets of forex trading such as support and resistance and price sentiment so it is imperative that you test this in a demo account first. What this means is that I have more than hit my weekly 100 pip target and can take half of next week off if I want. I suspect that will be an unlikely scenario however as I want to make sure that nice profit was not just beginner’s luck I will keep you posted!

The other trades all performed well and I closed out the day 102 pips in profit so I don’t need to trade for the rest of the week as my 100 pip weekly target has been reached.

Forex Mentor Trades

This is a strategy mainly for the higher timeframes and I look at the daily and 4 hour charts for this. I had not really done much with this strategy over the last couple of months as I was focussing on some of the shorter time frame signals (results of which can be found elsewhere on this site) but I saw these patterns emerging on the daily charts so decided to set the pending orders.

What I will do now is that because my weekly pip target has been reached, I will go back to practicing this and other strategies in my demo account. I will try and update the demo trades section with my results.

So you may see a pattern emerging here. When these forex signals appear, the trades typically hit their 20 pip target in under an hour. This is again the case with this trade. Now on the higher time frames you could expect more pips per trade. However with my balance where it currently is, it would violate my money management rules to trade on the higher timeframes because of the amount a trade can move against you before coming into profit. So I am happy to stay on the 15, 30 and Hour time frames for these signals for now. Once I get the balance up to $10,000 I will move to the higher time frames.

I have been doing some more demo trades as well and I will continue to post them in the relevent section.

Nothing was really happening for the Forex signals I have acted on recently in the demo account but then I noticed a bearish divergence had formed on the 30 minute chart. So I drew a trend line under the candles to mark a break point and waited. I also used one of my moving average indicators as a floating support level. Sure enough the trend line was broken but I waited for the candle to close UNDER the line. This is a key aspect of patience I have been working on lately and has been paying off in the demo account. Once the candle closed below my trend line I was confident to go in for a short trade. Sure enough the price kept dropping to bring the IMACD and the price action back into alignment and my 20 pip TP was hit just over an hour later.

One of the things Loz always talks about when talking about divergence trades is that it is not sufficient to jump in when you see the divergence develop, but rather you need to wait for some other confirmations. This is all about perfecting your entry into the trade so the trade is in profit very quickly rather than going against you for a while. In this case, I knew the price would eventually come down due to the bearish divergence but I only had a good entry point AFTER I had drawn in the trend line and support and resistance levels. This type of Forex trading is incredibly stress free!

I failed to 1) wait until the current candle had closed above resistance and 2) I was seduced by the rapidly moving price action. These are fundamental things that Loz is at great pains to point out on pretty much every webinar. This lack of patience cost me $65 demo dollars which is 3 days of successful 20 pip trades wiped out

The GBPJPY is also a very fast moving pair which I also totally neglected and while it can move in one direction very quickly, it can also reverse equally quickly. So no sooner had I entered the trade when I realise my mistake and watched in horror as the price respected the resistance level and dropped like a stone! Instead of immediately exiting the trade I also made the second mistake of trying to ride out a bad trade thinking my money management was fine and it would eventually come back. Well it did not come back and I eventually decided to close the trade at -65 pips or so.

After having a bit of a fume I decided to have a bit of a post mortem and came to the conclusions above. The main reason why I should not have entered the trade was the proximity of the price to resistance but my judgment was swept away by the seductively rising price.

A good lesson to learn (again) on a demo account but it underscores how patient you must be to make a consistent profit in Forex trading. Hopefully better news to post tomorrow after a more patient analysis of the charts.

I waited until the price had closed below the support line before entering the short trade at market price. As you can see, 19 minutes later I had hit my 20 pip target for the day. This is the second pair I have up in my trading station so before I had finished looking at the rest of my charts the take profit had been hit and I could go off and do other things for the rest of the day

Loz assumes that any trades made based on his moves in the webinars will be on a demo account, however I occasionally ignore this and go in with a live trade.

The trend of rapid TPs being hit appears to be continuing with this powerful combination of forex strategies.I am still awaiting a losing trade using these strategies but I am sure I will get hasty in the near future and enter a trade prematurely!

Once I have run with this combination for a month I will move onto another combination of Loz’s strategies and hit them exclusively for a month. This was on the 15 minute time frame chart. Once the signals had developed I entered a short trade at market price. When you get into trades based on a couple of Loz’s strategies aligning together you don’t usually have to wait long for the take profit targets to be hit In this case I had got my daily 20 pips in about an hour.

I have had some good success recently with this currency pair. I always double check the immediately higher time frames to where the signals have appeared to make sure I am not going to enter a trade against a strongly prevailing trend. Remember the trend is your friend

These last two trades I made on this pair really have been stress free positions because they went into profit extremely quickly. Now on this one I could have booked in some more profits by moving my stops however I had to go out so I just set my order up to be conservative – I am just going for 20 pips per day on these set ups. So while there was more mileage in the trade I hit my quota with about 10 minutes analysis on the charts. When I first started trading I would often beat myself up about leaving money on the table but the problem with this approach is that sooner or later I would start to get greedy and end up losing whatever profit I had made. One of the things Loz talks about constantly is patience.
